Asbestos Removal in Public Arena before Demolition

by | Dec 18, 2015 | Public Places

Before an auditorium in Omaha, Nebraska can be demolished, tons of asbestos must be removed from the structure. The Civic Auditorium, among others in the country, was constructed with asbestos-containing products and materials, including the boilers, pipes, and scaffolding.

The auditorium was built in 1954 and can hold over 9,000 occupants at individual events. Despite being constructed with asbestos, the good condition of the materials did not pose danger to visitors during concerts and games.

The demolition, on the other hand, poses a serious risk to workers if asbestos remains present. It is important that all of the asbestos is removed and disposed of properly to ensure the health and safety of those present during the demolition.

Did you know that public places like older arenas can contain deadly asbestos?
