The wife of a St. Clair County man who died of asbestos-related lung cancer has filed a lawsuit against dozens of different companies, including Toyota Motor Sales USA Inc. Janis Baker is seeking over $50,000 in damages for the wrongful death of her late husband, Alfred Baker.
Mrs. Baker’s husband, Alfred, was allegedly exposed to asbestos in his work as a plumber, welder, laborer, and mechanic for several different companies. He was diagnosed with asbestos-induced lung disease on November 20, 2012, and died from the disease on May 3, 2013.
